About the Author
Judith Turner’s passion for clothing alterations began in the 1990s when her friend gave her a job in her fabric shop. She soon found that she had a natural gift at altering clothes and in 1996 she branched out and opened up her first shop with nothing except this skill. It was soon after opening her shop that Judith began writing manuals on clothing alterations for the staff. She wanted everyone to be altering the clothes in the same way, and also wanted to give her customers a 100% guarantee that the garment would be altered to their satisfaction.

This is the best book and most complete of all I've purchased. If you can't find it here, watch the demos on YouTube. They were extremely helpful.

The best book out there for alterations!

I looked for a book to help with alterations for over a year. This is by far the best book out there. I am so happy Judith took the time to write all of this treasure of information down.
This book is great for beginners and intermediates. I have been sewing for 20+ years and it has been a pleasure reading this book. I am truly excited by this book. She is brilliant in her approach to fixing ready to wear.

Exactly what I was needing

This book was out of stock for what seemed like forever. I am so happy it's finally in my library. I'm a home sewer and often find that thrifted or store bought clothing doesn't fit quite right. This book is exactly what I was looking for to start altering my clothes. There aren't a lot of them out there and this book is really great.
